October 21, 2023 - Impressive, alive, very Krug. Medium deep gold, modest but active spray of tiny bubbles. Smells of walnuts, dark apple, molasses. Thick texture for champagne. Concentrated flavors of dark stewed yellow fruit. Remarkably persistent. The 1989 vintage yielded powerful and heavy champagnes but a perfectly preserved Collection is emphatic and old - but not tired.

September 23, 2023 - Opened at the Acker 100th HK Auction. Small glass kindly shared.

Gorgeous golden colour. Rich, yeasty, toasty, nutty nose. Still very fresh on the palate and didn't feel tired at all. Acidity and structure very present - probably will stay at this level for a while assuming good provenance and storage.

August 13, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of honey, baked red apple, toast, yeasty, biscuit. Medium+ acidity.

April 1, 2022 - Visually liquid gold, a deep nose of toffee, hallmark oxidative Krug trades. Disgorged only in 2020 from memory. Whafting with red apple and a nice mineral finish. At its apogee.

April 1, 2022 - Festa del Piemonte: Gala Dinner (The Pool in NYC): Another palate cleanser! This was just wonderful and you could tell that many folks were ready for bubbles since the magnum went quite quickly. It's lovely and nutty and aged but with vibrancy and overall just very tasty.
