Community Tasting Notes 109

  • ChrisR Likes this wine:

September 25, 2021 - Basically the same as the last bottle (only a few months ago, so not surprising). Rich, dense layers of dark berries (black raspberry and blackberry, mainly), with a sort of sweet-tart balance, quite spicy. Full-bodied and lush, yet vibrant with acid. Oak fully subsumed. Delicious in that plush Aussie way.

September 16, 2021 - Rich Shiraz nose , soft spices , palette was missing something. Nice wine, was better 6-7 years ago.

June 5, 2021 - Good sweet spot with BBQ

  • ChrisR Likes this wine:

May 8, 2021 - Rich, dense layers of fruit -- black raspberry and blackberry, mainly --, slightly tart, quite spicy. Full-bodied and lush, yet for all that it doesn't feel heavy, probably due to the firm acid line which keeps things energetic. Fortunately, I didn't get any of the VA notes others have mentioned (I'm quite sensitive to VA and dislike the nail polish/turpentine smell it can lend). It still feels so young. I wonder where it will go with more time and how long we will have to wait to find out.
