  Bottle 2807/6438. Typical Leroy aromatics. The sweetness opens up with air but a bit stern on the finish. Much prefer the 98 on the side.

  Initially stern and unyielding but improved significantly with a decant and air time. Dark berry and spice. On the leaner side with characteristic '96 acidity.

  1996 Dinner @ Lot. Decanted at 1:00 served at 6:00. Loads of black cherry fruit and Vosne spice in the nose and palate. Weighty with persistence and a lively finish. An excellent 96 but the 1990 from last month was more seamless and satisfying.
