Incredibly stylish bouquet of ripe dark berries, spices, crushed stones, pipe tobacco, mint, all elements very balanced. Very silky palate, ripe berries, fresh elements, some chocolatey notes but not overripe or -oaked, all balanced, with a long finish with spices, minerals, salty elements. Great wine!
Rated 92 in primeur, this little duck has transformed into a large majestic swan. The wine caresses the mouth with a very sensual and bursting fruity body and a floral hint. Very long and complex finish. Fabulous value for money 95-96/100
Still very youthful. Black cherry with mixed black fruits. Nose still rather shy and strict though it’s more expressive on the palate. Palate is rather light and leans towards polished black fruits—but there’s layers of depth and spice adding complexity. A step up from recent ‘05/‘06. Still best to hold.

Served out of a 375. Rich and lush on nose and palate. Dusty, powdery earth nose, hijts of iron, and medium sized berry. Palate shows more dusty earth, chalk, minerals, iron. Succulent in some ways, the fruit is muted yet present. Rich perhaps for my preference.
Bordeaux 2012 (By SS in the Ertepeller.): In the bouquet concentrated and serious dark berries. Beautifully dosed oak as well. On the palate full bodied and concentrated with dark berries and leather and beautiful oak. Fantastic and great wine with a long future. 93 – 94+
