Wow, arresting, layered and intense aromas of orchard fruit, flint, mineral, slate and smoke. The palate has unreal concentration and pinpoint balance. Spectacular from start to finish. A treat to sip this over a few hours, with and without food.

blind Nose is typical Keller, my first thought was G-max, but because of the herbal notes I changed my mind to Pettenthal. Very dense in the beginning but in the finish a bit short compared to other big wines of Keller. In a nice stage at the moment. 2014 is not a superb vintage but everything is balanced. At least 10 more years. 95

A bit inscrutable. Detailed. A little quiet and savory tonight. There is a whiskey note. Like a lot of young G-max this is a shame to drink so young. Would love to revisit in 5-10 years.

Great wine, in decanter for almost 8 hours but needed more. Very good concentration and fruit. Really difficult to judge this early on. Waiting for the next until 2024.

Initially the 2014 G-Max shows a surprising herbal, almost sauvage, quality that evolves to show an appealing mix of melon and smokey mineral aromas. Pure energy on the palate, suave and sexy, with crisp acidity and a firm mineral underpinning. Very good.
