The Burgundy Gods have smiled upon us today! DRC Echezeaux has a special place in my heart, '95 was the "epiphany bottle" that turned me on to the magic of Burgundy. Alas most bottles of Ech have disappointed me since, but when they are on they are ON...
Rose petals and earth, sweet balsamic, hoisin, tea. Glides across the palate. Absolutely stellar quality this is as good as a very good vintage of La Tache. Utterly mesmerizing, exotic aromas and ethereal flavors. This '66 Echezeaux is a textbook example of why I chase Burgundy 😍

Drank in Hong Kong
What can one say. Still singing and going strong. A beautiful complex nose and palate with a peacock's tail. Wow. Thanks Donal.
