Impressive and my preferred style of CdP where the strawberry fruit and florals can shine with more subtle earth / funk accents beneath. Excellent complexity and still quite youthful fruit profile.

Q4 2021 Wine Club: The Return with Aged Rhone (Our apt): Wine #3: My favorite of the tasting (interesting that two of the most popular wines were 98 CdPs). This was lighter in style to the first two. More acid. Very fresh and yet kindof dark and brooding in style. More minerality. Very precise. Enjoyable wine. (7 pennies)

This is down and dirty neuf, a real Bonneau-wine; barnyard galore, very healthy Grenache-fruit and sweetness, som underlying power carries this through: These days, one can't go to France - this is as close as it gets, oh, the longing ...

Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): We gave this plenty of decanter time to clean up, and that paid off nicely. Meaty black cherry and plum with good depth and some emerging cooked mushroom. Very good depth.

1hr decant. Loved this wine. Earthy, meaty, elegant. Solidly in drinking window and drink rest in coming years.
