A week short of 2 years since my last bottle. Poured into white wine glasses. This needed 45 min to open up and then this was a very inviting wine that showed some age in the mellowness of the presented fruit. Extremely well balanced with a long finish. This is light on its feet and almost certainly in its prime. Will drink well for a decade plus. Revisit 2026

Pre-Super Bowl Gentlemen's Dinner (New Jersey, USA): Decanted for 30 minutes and kept at cellar temperature. This definitely made a difference. Gorgeous bottle of Champagne! Yeasty, bright with varied white and yellow fruit and citrus. Great mouthfeel and mousse. Long finish. Crisp and energetic. Better with the aeration. Love it!

2008 top champagnes - horisontal wine tasting dinner (Rest MG (kg arr)): Second 2008 horisontal champagne half blind tasting dinner. First time June 2021. Back then the vintage was extremely youthful. How is it now? An almost unbelievable development in just 2 years. As a wine enthusiast I must simply surrender! I was skeptical about the drinkability at this point for this extreme vintage. That skepticism was proven wrong. 2008 can definitely be enjoyed now. For me, it's one of my really great tasting experiences. And there has certainly been many... Add to that, the vintage is only in its initial stage of maturation and therefore still youthful but extremely charming and open. I really look forward to tasting the 2008 vintage once a year in the coming many years experiencing the tertiary notes develop. Lemon colour, Delicate mousse, medium+ finish, aromas of ripe apple, lemon and toast, lots of bread dough from autolysis. Rating based on performance right now.

As usual, the Goisse is an interesting and unique wine. Less foamy and exuberant than many of its peers with more soft powder and light citrus. Not very persistent at this stage but gets more interesting with air. Doesn't need more time and very drinkable now yet might develop well.
