  • In the beginning it was quite muted on the nose. Mostly some wood, preserved lemon and a big and pronounced reduction (which I love!). Over time it just got better and bigger (still with reductive elements all the way to the last drop). Lemon peel, ripe peach, vanilla poached pear, baked apple, almonds and cashew nuts, crème brûlée and whipped butter, fresh young peas, brioche, some oaky spices and an incredible mineral, chalky punch. And of course the reductive notes of fireworks and roasted sesame.
Close to full-bodied with a refreshing, pretty high acidity and sharp minerality. It’s fat and fresh but still with quite a dry mouthfeel from the slow press. Good depth and length. Lemon and lots of lime, melon, ripe pear, yellow apple, mild sweet pineapple, sour kiwi, hints of salmiak, macadamia nuts and mild white chamomile tea. Big chalky, and especially salty, minerality.

Once again an amazing experience with one of Pierre’s wines.
    Powerful and extremely elegant.

  • Crisp nose of bright fruits and crushed stone. Kiwi and a little grapefruit on the palate with a slight tartness, nice stone minerality and acidity, with good finish.
