  • Clearly not as rich and charming as the 18 LSJ. Forward and sappy Gevrey. Slightly short finish.

  • Dark rich purple color. Upon opening nose shows rich fruits, coco, even some chocolate notes, ripe and full bodied, with several hours of air this blows off and more typical cherry fruit, pomegranate, juicy berry emerges, follow-up by sweet violet and berry compote. Palate shows quite fresh, with good mouth feel and structure. The fruit is leaner and more minerally tones emerge, hints of gravel, schist and stone. Very nice and unexpected quality given the lack of review history with this one on CT. Worth seeking out.
