This is my second time having this wine. It really is a special wine. Decanted for 5 hours and drank blind at a tasting. Everyone immediately fell in love with the nose, and began to get down on one knee with the palette! Lollll, Up against some serious other wines (2003 Tignanello, 1995 GAJA) and still came out the WOTN. Absolutely stunning, and I look forward to finding the next special occasion to open one up again. This bottle has forever to go! Just now entering it's beginning stages of the drinking window. Will last with EASE until 2040+

Brought by a friend to dinner, tasted blind. 14% ABV. Somewhat bricked. Shows its age but still nice to drink. Earthy, mushroom, garrique, red fruit, hints of chocolate still slightly tannic. Only average to below average acidity. Fairly long finish. Fairly complex, fruit fading. Quite tasty with braised lamb shanks.

21st of 24, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, seemingly unchanged from excellent Jan 22 bottle, fruit still vibrant, caressing velvet touch, splendid length and complexity, plateau, no rush but I'd look to drink over next 5 years. F+ (18).

From 75cl, good cork, decanted 1 hour, stable thereafter in glass. An outstanding bottle (after a disappointment on 16.12.2018). "Barnyard" horsesh*t, forest floor and lavender scent; sweet entry, initially with a gorgeous prickling texture, which gradually faded, leaving only residual acidity; hardly any tannic action perceptible. Dreamy, fully-mature C9dP; despite its impeccable provenance this bottle was near the end of its virile life. Drink up. 92P
