We had this at a friends Mexican fish dinner on New Year’s Eve (12/31/12). It had an integrated and expressive bouquet of floral, pear, orange peel, mineral, vanilla and spice aromas. The palate was fresh, bright and nicely integrated with flavors that followed the nose.

Guess that keeping this gem in the cellar for a couple of years was a little bit too much... Indiscriminate, pale palate, slightly steely. All the fresh, juicy aromatics are gone. No tropical fruit, no seaside minerality. Bland and easy, oak has the upper hand these days. Off-bottle or OTH?

Apricots, lychees, flowers, vegetables and caramel on the nose. Very pleasant on the palate, apricot and grapefruit flavours, greasier than previous tastings and excellent after taste. Undoubtedly a good white wine, but a step behind other top Albariño wines.

Vegetable aromas with hints of honey and caramel, similar to Rueda wines fermented in oak barrells or Cloudy Bay's style wines. On the palate it got better, with fantastic acidity, less greasy than previous bottles, apricot flavours and long and delicate finish which incites to drink.
Complex and delicious, a great Albariño wine.

A little oxidized - failed to meet expectations but maybe my fault for not drinking earlier
