Served blind, slox oxed 4 hours, guessed Burg around 15-20 yo, beautiful refined nose, thought a Chambolle, this is at its peak, fairly light palate, drinking v well, 93

La Paulee 2023: Took time to get going, fruit was initially muddled on the nose but became so seductive with air. I thought this was an 06 Chambolle, soft and sensual tannins despite being made in a style with heavier extraction and darker red fruit. Haunting finish. Marginally my favourite of the flight ahead of the Chandon de Brailles.

Slow oxed for 5 hours, classic Burg nose, refined, singing tonight, drinking well now but will last for at least 20 years, good fruits on nose & palate, should get better with age 94

Clos Vougeot (The Center) Tasting (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): In 14/08/07 flight. Opened 3 hours earlier, which was probably not beneficial. Elegant red cherry with almost as much earth. Charming and well textured with good+ length. I liked this more than most others tonight.

Clos Vougeot - Clos Center Tasting (Chicago, IL): 14/08/07. Decidedly more mature than the other two wines in the flight with an earthen cherry aromas that also has nice spice complexity. Earthy meaty, cherry on the palate is fun and easy to drink. Structure is now essentially resolved and this has peaked. No further upside but should hold.
