  • Mid garnet. Nicely earthy with some sous bois leafiness. Fruit well and truly on the retreat, this is more about mid weight autumnal savouriness, slightly dry on the finish. Works quite well with veal and morels which seem to bring a little more sweetness and roundness to the finish.***

  • Light with a nice nose. Smells like a Gevrey Chambertin but doesn't have the complexity and minerality of other bottles. Was reasonably priced for a premier-cru GC but not up to par either. Nothing to write home about. If you are looking for a reasonably priced bottle with this pedigree, its probably worth the reasonable purchase price but if you are expecting something special, pass it up.

  • these grew on me over time. great blood red color, lots of terroir comes through. It seems like these bottles keep getting better although I've basically drank the whole case over only about a year. Down to my last one. At only $55 for premier cru Les Cazetiers, you don't get the best plots in Gevrey Chambertin but not bad and for the price way better than you would typically see.

  • These bottles have mostly underperformed for me. That said, this bottle was much better than others. Gorgeous, very light in color but with a fantastic aroma of a much heavier wine. Very long finish in contrast to previous bottles. Hopefully my last few are like this!

  • these bottles are more weekday drinkers than something special but they do exhibit nice Chambertin qualities of minerality and acidity that I enjoy. Very light in character and color.
