  • A wonderul wine expereince as my first ever Montrachet of any kind. Admit to being blown away by this and actually difficult to find appropriate words to describe taste and structure. Colour is deep gold and was almost shimmering from the glass. Nose.....knocked me for six....it is Sauternes-like in its composition and your tatse buds are expecting a cloyling sweet palate. But no......you get a lovely dry smooth palate with hints of tangerine/clementine with straw/hay and a full citrus buttery mid-palate. Extremely good to pan-seared scallops, not quite as good with ballatine of chicken although did pick up really well with the carrot and swede puree. This is a wine experience I will remember and look foward to the next bottle of this type of wine......great QPR..probably not but all wine lovers must try this type of wine.
