Opened 3 hours before drinking and slow-oxed. At first the acidity was very pronounced. Aromatic with Violets and barnyard. Quite fat, soft tannins, ripe red fruit and bacon, with wonderful acidity. Delicious and ready to drink. Not your average villages wine and priced accordingly.

About 15 months from the last bottle tasted, this 09 has really came into its own. Great depth of flavors, solid fruit with no tannins after a one hour decant. No signs of over-ripeness. I would call this a thinking person's wine, not flamboyant or otherwise over the top. Paired nicely with a honey glazed pork chop.

A year or so from the previous bottle, this bottle seemed a touch off. It opened with some slight green notes which blew off after 30 minutes. Enjoyable but not up to the past experience. I will give this a few more years.

Lovely wine from this great producer. A touch sweet because of the vintage but everything else was there for great drinking tonight with broiled salmon.
