Shared this after the end of the meal. We were expecting this to be open for business, but we got the complete opposite, just extremely wound up and tight and that only further exacerbated in the short 30 minutes that we gave it. Nose with bright red fruit and red cherries, leather, and herbal. But the palette was all over, shockingly tight with sour patch kid cherries, almost undrinkable. Umar said he had just had the 2007 which was open for business, I guess this one still needs (a lot) more time.

10/1/2022 4:03:00 AM - Umar probably had the "Reserva", which likely is in window. I think this needs more time sideways, the 01 bosconia GR was very ungiving 6 months ago.

10/1/2022 2:22:00 PM - I really was shocked by how tight this was. It's rare to have a wine over 20 years old to be so closed down, but it would be impressive to see how this changes with another decade!
