Sunday, January 1, 2023 - Lots of freshness to go with orange rind fruit. The wine shows the sweetness of an old-style Spätlese and has excellent acidity and freshness. No rush to drink this. A very good expression of Steinberger terroir, even more surprising as I believe this was machine harvested. Curiously, the wine drinks well on its own, but the few food matchings I tried killed the wine. There are probably various bottlings of this wine -- this one is AP 004 11. Cellared since original release.
