Saturday, February 4, 2023 - On open it was clear we needed a decant as it showed muted fruit and earthy funkiness. At 15 min, tried again and it was ready for business. Cherry, hint of raspberry, charcoal, cardamom, damp earth, long finish, delicious. As with the last bottle this was Napa meet BDX.

No oak or tannins apparent, plenty of acid to go years. As it warmed a bit, a medicinal cherry note became dominant. Put the decanter on top a bed of ice, and voila, back where we were. Recommend drinking at or near cellar temps for the duration. My last bottle, sadly, from a time when prices were far more reasonable for this gem.
