Tuesday, May 5, 2009 - Color: Crystal clean garnet. Nose: Gobs of black fruit with a bit of spice, leather wood and dirt thrown in for good measure. Taste: Black fruit heavy with plum and blackberry with a hint of tart cherry in there somewhere. Fruit was more subtle than I was expecting from the nose. Mouthfeel: A light touch and grip...very resolved and easy drinking Well resolved with a clean attack, rounded fruit middle and a nice finish with a touch of tartness on the backend. Overall: Very nicely done Julie! For an "everday" drinking N.V. wine all I can say is - wow. I can't wait to open "the good stuff." Good luck finding this one out there - I was lucky.
