Tuesday, June 2, 2009 - Color: Dark purple. Nose: Chocolate, cedar, licorice and smoke/oak shining through with reckless abandon. (I'm worried already...) Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, with soft tannins and low acidity. Taste: Dark fruit up front in a big way - blackberries and plum coem to mind. And, lets not forget the WOOD. Holy cow. This one was way overoaked for me too. Overall: If you can stand the oak, this is a decent everyday drinker. But in my view, the Tin Roof Merlot is cheaper and better. I would proabably pass by in the future.
