Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - First off - this is a great QPR but be forewarned - my experience was based on buying this wine when it first became available and then holding it in a properly maintained cellar. Your local retailer may not have gone to the same lengths for a $10 bottle.
On the nose - mocha, damp earth, some dusty oak.
On the tongue - tobacco, cranberry, fading red fruit. Tannins still there, amazingly.
This is shockingly good for its QPR and age. Is it past its prime? Most definitely, but still quite worthy of a nice burger or pasta and red sauce.
