Sunday, September 5, 2004 - Medium dark red colour. Scents of grape-stems, chery-stones, and dirt. Medium bodied with a distinctly sour flavour profile. Not as oaky as other NZ Pinot Noir wines - in actual fact the wine was slightly Burgundian. Good definition with a somewhat simple level of complexity. Much better with food than without.
