Sunday, October 17, 2004 - Deep, dark red. Very nice bouquet on notes of vanilla, meat, and smoke. Sweet and tasty with a nice, round and buttery core of fruit. Good initial attack on the palate with plenty of power and width. A real crowd pleaser of a wine - not unlike Pahlmeyer Meritage Red - with a slightly diffuse personality, but lots of charm and seductiveness. In that sense, the wine was excellent.
