Friday, April 9, 2010 - Really wanted to like this wine because bought a case based on love for the '04... and the reputation of '05... but awkward, green, vegetal, stemminess dominates the nose, maybe oak tea bags too, green on the mid-palate too though nice mouthfeel and the finish is good actually. Dry, lingering echoes of dark fruits. Beautiful balance even though over the top vegetal and suspicions of oak mulch tea partying. All in all like a perfectly balanced cheap ass Bordeaux. Wondering what to do with the 11 remaining bottles...

8/30/2010 2:21:00 PM - Because I've bought this wine also, I've asked the chateau in 2007 when to drink this wine. They reacted, that their wine is at its best after 5 years in general. 2005 was a great vintage and keeping it for 5 or 6 years was not a problem. The Guide Hachette advises to drink this from 2012 or 2013. I intend to try the first bottle not before 2011.
