Deep, dark red. Very oaky on the nose with added nuances of pepper and alcohol. Medium bodied and with delightful sweetness and awesome power. A very strong wine that seemed to lack some fat fruit and complexity. I am almost inclined to declare the wine un-balanced, yet that would probably be too harsh, as this is probably at a very closed and awkward stage. I loved the sweet nature and simple delivery, though, and the aftertaste was very long. Let it sleep for many years...!
