Black. Very oaky with sweet vanilla spice on the nose. Extremely powerful on palate impact with huge intensity and thickness. Oily and chewy in texture with high levels of alcohol. I did not check the bottle but 16.5% is probably not a bad guess. I was not too crazy about this wine, though it was not as overblown as other examples I have tried.
