Tuesday, October 19, 2010 - I was nicely surprised by this wine. The color is a pale straw, with good dispersion. The nose reminds me very much of New Zealand sauvignon blanc, lots of pineapple, grapefruit and creamy peach, but with some herbaceous notes as well. I expected it to be far too sweet, but the attack shows nice acidity and citrus to balance out all that tropical fruit. I found it pleasantly well balanced through the mid-palate, but would say it fell flat on the finish, just kind of collapsing in my mouth. A crowd-pleaser and a quaffer, this is a good value wine if you're not looking for something overly cerebral. Take it for what it is and enjoy.
