Friday, March 11, 2011 - Clear appearance, white wine, lemon gold color, medium intensity. Clean, pronounced nose. Aroma characteristics include pear, melon, kiwi, honey. Reminiscent of white Rhone varietals. Palate is dry, medium acid, no detectable tannins. Medium body, with a rich, fleshy characteristic. Complex flavor profile matches the nose, plus some light oak. Medium-plus length. Very good expression of the varietal. Paired perfectly with grilled Maine lobster in lemon-infused drawn butter.
