The palate is dense and classy - only at first being overpowering but once it gets to breathe, it loses the alcohol and becomes velvety yet intense. Surely, it'll keep for a decade or so, but it's aboslutely wonderful now. Drink with a powerful sauce and braised meat (at least, that's what we were having) and it is absolutely delicious. Drink or keep.
