Wednesday, November 16, 2011 - First bottle from a case. Decanted for about 2 hours. Like this as much as, or more than, the 2002 vintage. Almost blood like in apparent viscosity, but really nothing like that because of the great freshening acidity. I'm not a big oak fan, but the cedar notes on the nose and palate give this wine a delicious nuance. Very mellow tannins. No need to wait any longer, this is ready to drink now. The residual tannins and the good acidity should keep this in a good place for 5-7 more years.
