Tuesday, December 13, 2011 - Pop and pour. At first a bit shy and sharp, but opened up after a few hours. Lots of cherry, cassis, plum. Some cedar, licorice, tobacco leafs and minth as well. A high acidity, but not green and with a solid finish. I would wait 1-2 years for some sort of final resort. Don't know if Derenencourt was working here in '05, but I guess his appearance came a few years later. Terroir here is not so bad, with Charmail and Sociando-Mallet just around the corner. Good wine, needs some food.
