Thursday, February 23, 2012 - Lovely dark deep purple, with a pale violet rim, but only in the right light. Rather lush. Big fruit on the nose; almost jammy. Presents berries, but no stone fruits. Carries the (rather high) alcohol very well...tannins still need to integrate (too young of course). Slight green/vegetal note after an hour. Not grassy...maybe bell pepper? Slight leather note...all in all very tasty. QPR would be right on at $20/bottle.
