Too sweet for me, lacking in real fruit flavors - and a very short finish. Does have a little nice tingly acidity which is a redeeming factor. An okay wine at the price point (less than $5 in a sale) but not what I'd want in a Tempranillo - especially from a Spanish version of this wine. I recommend Longoria Tempranillo for a great California version of this variety.
