Saturday, August 25, 2012 - Nat cork. A dull and lightly clouded purple-red in the glass. A nose of cherry, earth, and an herbal sasparilla note, almost minty. On the palate clear beam of cherries and earth, lovely balance, great for food - tangy more than fruity.Well structured but the tannin is gentle and largely integrated. Medium bodied with a long, lingering finish. Overall, a bit sappier and simpler than a great burgundy would be but quite close. Burg would prob be my guess tasting blind.
