Friday, September 7, 2012 - We debated the score on this wine - somewhere between 90 and 92. Upon first opening and short decant, there was pretty dominating oak, which we hoped would go away. It did for the most part. Oak was still very prevalent, but then the fruit came though. Tannins are soft enough to really balance it out. A nice merlot and one that is probably at its peak. This was our last bottle, but if I had one more, I would have decanted for a good 2-3 hours.
