96 Points

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 - Opened, decanted and served right away. Aromas of black currant, cassis, plum, dark chocolate and licorice. Huge black fruit again on palate, in great balance with the tannins and new oak. Sensational textures and harmony, this comes across as more integrated and harmonious from when I last recall trying it, perhaps 5 years back. Ripe fruit and high alcohol seem well balanced, not protruding at all. This is perhaps jut entering its peak drinking window and should continue to be exciting for 15+ years.
