2010 Château Lynch-Bages

74 Points

Wednesday, January 23, 2013 - UGC Chicago (The Drake Hotel - Chicago, IL): The Lynch Bages of recent vintages have seemed more sappy, modern and hedonistic than the lovely wines of yesteryear. This fits into that hedonistic model. Fruit was sappy, gummy and dark. Just didn't have that sense of place and was over oaked and smokey. Disappointing.

4/15/2013 3:56:00 AM - 74 Points? Even if it may have changed style, is that really the correct score? Assuming that the wine was not flawed as such, were there any flaws in the winemaking?

Does your review indicate QPR or the pure quality?

10/26/2014 1:20:00 PM - Benjimon's original note to me was, "Wow! Now I won't buy this wine! You could be totally correct and everyone else can be totally wrong. Thank god I stumbled upon this highly informative and accurate note!"

Didn't want the rest of that to be removed.
