Wednesday, March 6, 2013 - A generously fruity nose gives unmistakable hints that this is an elegant and well-crafted wine. On the palate, initial notes of cherry liqueur lead to beefy meat, smoke, and a bit of leather in a harmonious balance. Considerable alcohol presence, but the concentration of fruit prevents it from being overwhelming. Just a touch below the superstars of the vintage, but clearly very nicely done and thoroughly enjoyable.
