Wednesday, April 3, 2013 - had this alongside the 06. decanted for 4-5 hours. unfortunately, like the 06, this did not show so well. color dark to the rim. nose a tad more giving with some nice fruit and vanilla. the palate again subdued and rather closed despite the decant and time in glass. jsut tough to coax any lushness and balance out of this. better on the back palate where it all started to blossom but then vanishes. perhaps a hint of whats to come in few years. again, like the 06, a question of dumb phase comes to mind. finish was short and tough to come back to. score includes a few points of future promise.
