Monday, May 13, 2013 - Hmmm. I was surprisingly disappointed by this one, as the Faiv Caz is one of my perenial favorites. It has this garnet/crimson color with just a touch of bricking followed by subdued aromas of cranberry, red cherry, flowers, and rock. On the palate, this comes across as a bit lean and acidic and out of balance; while there is some mature red fruit here, i just kept waiting for this wne to open and expand -- which never happened. Reminds me of a lean 2008. Hopefully just bottle variation as I still have a few left in the cellar. From 375 mL.
