Wednesday, May 23, 2012 - Amazing. I used to be an anti-new-world drinker but this wine, however, made me less subjective when drinking new world wines. Complex, deep, concentrated. The 2008 is already accessible but it will enter dormant period in the following 5 years. I have had a 1996 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon before, which impressed me a lot, who can tell me how long will it take to reach fully-developed stage? Monster!

9/17/2013 8:33:00 AM - I have had a rolling vertical in Insignia since 1994, but have only 2001 through 2010 remaining. My personal opinion is that they drink well at just about any time, but are at their best between 10 and 15 years. I have not had one later than that, but I am sure that they can hold up for a longer time--I tend to get impatient and want to drink mine while I still can.
