Friday, December 6, 2013 - This was one of those wines you could smell all night as long as you could prevent yourself from drinking it. Its plush ripe nose leaped out of the glass upon the first pour. It is well balanced and with a very smooth palate, the fruit seems to be predominantly Syrah, notes of leather and cedar and a smooth finish with the just enough tannins to let this improve over the next few years; still quite young at this point. #7 seems to be rounder with less Cab fruit than the #6, which remains our favorite. Cellar Scraps has become our favorite bottle to open at the end of the evening when everyone wants a little more wine; this #7 will be no different.

No, it is not some half empty bottle but an unopened bottle of Cellar Scraps (#5 I think). I think we finished it too. And it was great. Thanks.
