Tuesday, February 18, 2014 - Lots of earthy character in the nose and palate -- this one has that terroir "sense of place" in a big way with both lush and floral meadow and dry (almost dusty) tumbleweed! Dark fruit flavor is effusive but not over-extracted -- the flavors are nicely balanced with dark fruit, lavender, sage, and mushroom. I like how there are waves of flavors that remained even as the bottle opened up further. Nicely crafted wine.
