Tuesday, March 11, 2014 - Beauty of a wine! This wine continues to improve. Has put on substantial weight, viscosity, and has lost that too young syrah character. Florals have mellowed out - less high tone. Nose has tar, charcoal, black licorice. Taste is blackberry pie, nice structure, charcoal, rock and pavement. Has a viognier character to it - don't recall if this has viognier.... what I'm coming to realize is that 2010-2012 bedrock vintages need time in bottle. Give them time and they deliver.
