Friday, March 21, 2014 - Whereas the Eastern Approach was a lighter toned wine with bright blackberry and cranberry, a bit of green, and very smooth, this wine is much more deeply pigmented and the palate follows with dried bing cherry, black plum, a hint of cedar, and a touch of tannin. There is also a great savory note behind this wine that sticks around in the back of my mouth and brings me back for more.
