Wednesday, April 16, 2014 - Opaque deep purple. Big nose of black fruit, with tar and olive components coming through. Juicy blackberry and blueberry notes coupled with nice minerality. Acid and tannins largely in balance, but just a little bit tart. Big wine, but lithe at the same time. Keeps me coming back for more. Style is really appealing. My guess is this has 3-4 more years to go, but it is nowhere near the backside of the hill.
