Sunday, September 28, 2014 - El Cumpleaños del Virrey / Viceroy's B'day (Madrid): An exaggeration to consider this wine as one of the best Spanish whites? Intriguing combination of grapes helps to keep alive the myth.
At first Albariño on the nose just demanding time and warming a little to show its qualities: complex aromas of white flowers, fruits and wet stones. Very harmonious and balanced.
Same echoes on the palate, a good length, a final acidity and a lovely bitter aftertaste.
Btw, if you founded Riesling/Albariño/champagne aromas into this, probably the reason was because the bottle was served very cold. As simple as this.

¿Es una exageración decir que este es uno de los mejores blancos españoles? La intrigante combinación de uvas ayuda a mantener vivo el mito.
En principio en nariz aparece Albariño simplemente pidiendo tiempo y alcanzar una temperatura más adecuada para mostrar sus cualidades:
Olores complejos a flores blancas, frutas maduras y piedras mojadas. Muy armoniosa y equilibrada.
Mismos ecos en boca, un buen recorrido, un final ácido y un rico postgusto amargo.
A propósito, si encontraste aromas a Riesling/Albariño/champán en esto la razón probable fue porque la botella fue servida muy fría. Tan simple como eso.
