Wednesday, November 26, 2014 - Pale golden yellow. Bright and sparkling. Expressive and luscious. An attractive honeyed nose, with lifted yellow orchard fruits and more golden tropical elements reminiscent of mango, with a lanolin richness. Quince jelly, honeycomb and a hint of caramel (this calls for tarte tatin which we ate with the wine!).
Plenty of sweetness and concentration on the palate with luscious structure and a nervy frame of acidity and structure. Plenty of life. Very long and beautiful. Ste Catherine at its best for me; it’s fully expressive and generous with elegance.
