95 Points

Saturday, October 3, 2015 - Slow-ox for 60 minutes, then decanted for another 30 minutes before service. In the glass, rusty red and clear, with pronounced legs. On the nose, a wonderful mixture of roses, plums, and oak, bursting from the glass. On the palate, plums, cherries, rosewater, and a bit of tar, well balanced, with some tannins still present on the long finish. This is drinking quite well now, but I think 3-5 more years are needed to hit the peak. With linguine and a sage, mushroom, and cream sauce, just wonderful.

3/4/2016 1:51:00 PM - Hey thanks for your write-up! I saw this wine selling for $150 a bottle and grabbed one. On taste, i immediately got the remaining 3 from the store. Amazing... I just decanted it now, and i would imagine your appraisal to be spot on! What a deal for such quality...
